It all began when seeing the opportunity to bring better service and lead times to the Australian metal work and engineering market had Shane and Sean bring their expertise together to launch their start up business to the industry.
For Shane and Sean, superior service meant delivering precisely to their customers’ needs, ensuring high-quality standards, and adhering to promised lead times.
In the early years, Shane and Sean worked tirelessly as a two-man operation, working the Turret Punching and Plasma Cutting machinery and fabricating every order from design to despatch themselves.

The vision to bring better service and lead times to the industry remains AMS’s purpose to this day and has driven Shane and Sean to hold growth through continual investment at the core of their strategy.
The number one investment has been continually expanding the range of in-house services offered. Through on-going acquisition of machinery and training tradespeople with a diverse range of skills, AMS offers a broad range of solutions, ensuring control over every production stage.
This continual investment also enables AMS to confidently commit support to our customers for the long-term. Every business has its’ head winds, and AMS is no exception. Despite ever present challenges since the beginning including the market shift from domestic supply to imported supply, COVID and the ever-constant economic ebb and flow, Shane and Sean’s proactive focus on adapting the business to be relevant to current and new clients, existing and emerging industries ensure their on-going strength as a business.
This resilience assures businesses that AMS is a reliable partner, both now and in the future, given we don’t use the term “partner” lightly.

AMS is an Australian-owned and operated metal engineering company specialising in high-quality precision sheet metal, metal fabrication, and processing – servicing medium to large domestic and global businesses Australia-wide.
Our services span from Design Services, Tube Laser Cutting, Flat Laser Cutting, Turret Punching, Plasma Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding and Powder Coating.
Our metal work caters to various sectors, including Automotive, Construction, Mining, Public Infrastructure,Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Transportation, Telecommunications, Healthcare and Hospitality.
We partner with a diverse range of people from project managers, production managers, operations managers, purchasing managers, general managers, business owners, industrial design engineers, architects and estimators.
We operate by automation 24 hours a day and by skilled tradespeople on the tools 16 hours a day and 6 days a week, and have the capacity and capability to handle from large quantity fabrication runs to the most complex product requiring multiple fabrication processes.
